I received Jesus Christ as my Saviour at the age of eight while attending the Landmark Baptist Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio as a bus kid. It was during this time that I have my first memories of God dealing with me about preaching. Unfortunately, as a teenager I left the Christian life for the world. However, after seven miserable years of living only for myself, I returned to God and rededicated my life to Jesus Christ. God called me to preach and directed me to the Pensacola Bible Institute to prepare for the ministry. My wife, Naomi, was saved at the age of six and was raised by Christian parents in a good Christian home. Her mother was one of the pioneers to the homeschooling movement, educating their seven children when it was not as accepted as today. The Lord had also dealt with Naomi while she was young about serving Him as a missionary. She actually surrendered to be a missionary at the age of 16 on the exact same night that I was getting right with the Lord.
Naomi and I met while attending the Pensacola Bible Institute and were married in May of 1993. Five months later we left for the mission field after four short months of deputation. Since that time the Lord has given us seven children. Four of them were born on the mission field.
Over the years we have engaged in Church Planting; Small Town and Village Evangelism; the Training of Nationals in Bible Institutes; Medical Evangelism; Youth Conferences; Translation and Publication of Literature; Youth Camps, Daily Vacation Bible Clubs, Seminars for Sunday School workers, and Evangelistic Campaigns. Our church also hosted the “Pearl of the Black Sea” Campaign in 2003 at the request of Don Stertz, director of Couriers for Christ.
We are currently in the USA updating our supporting churches and raising additional support for our next term. While we are here we are overseeing efforts to get relief to those suffering as a result of the war. We plan for a new church plant in the city of Odessa when we return and pray that we will be able, by God’s will, to hold a city-wide evangelistic campaign to kick off the new church plant there. We also intend to move our Bible Institute to Odessa to train more men to reach the still unreached areas of Ukraine.
That Ukraine May Know Him,
