Dear Praying Friends and Family,

The first two months of 2026 came and went amidst a flurry of documents, meetings, homeschooling, and tax preparation, while constantly moving from place to place. We’ve had a good response in several churches including a Jewish man who watched our presentation online and asked the pastor to visit him. He now has questions about salvation through Jesus Christ.

We are thankful to the Lord for answering our prayers and confirming His counsel for our return to Ukraine. We received Michael’s visa and are now clear to go. We are happy to announce that the Lord has provided for our return tickets, which are scheduled for March 25, 2026. Please pray as we coordinate the logistics of our border crossing from Moldova into Ukraine. We have about five military checkpoints to go through to get to our home. Please pray that we will be able to finish Michael’s residency permit with no delays.

During our absence, our men in Ukraine have worked hard to fix the foundation problem that threatened the structural integrity of our home there. They discovered that there was a deep concrete foundation laid, however, the trench was dug too deep and they filled the bottom with sand. The rain from the downspouts slowly eroded the ground under the foundation. The Lord’s words in Matt. 7:26 still ring true. Too bad they were not heeded in Soviet Ukraine when our house was being built! We are relieved that the problem is now fixed.

We were a bit perplexed about having to return to the US for Michael’s paperwork. Over the years, however, we’ve learned to trust the Lord and that He knows what He is doing. It turns out that Ukraine had one of the hardest winters in decades. The Russians hit Ukraine’s energy grid causing them to ration power during the coldest part of winter causing a humanitarian disaster. They are still trying to count how many elderly have died as a result. At one point our area was only getting a total of four hours of power a day. Our backup power is only good for about 12-14 hours. We are trying to beef up our backup power while we are away to keep us functional in the months ahead.

My family and I would like to thank you all for your friendship, fellowship, prayers, and support of us in this work that God has given us. May the Lord Jesus bless you as you continue to serve Him.

 That Ukraine May Know Him,

Christopher Rue
