The former soviet union, Ukraine, is a country of 47.64 million people and is predominately Ukrainian Orthodox.

In 1994 when we first moved to Ukraine, the Berlin wall had just been torn down and the population was 51M and has been shrinking by an average of 300K/year since 1993.

Ukraine is the largest country in Europe and also the poorest country in Europe in terms of GDP. It is divided into 27 regions; we have been called to the city of Razdelnaya in the region of Odessa.

The marker outside of the city of Rozdilna: when we first moved there it still had the soviet hammer and sickle over top of it, a reminder of the era they had just come out of.

The region of Odessa alone is occupied by about 4M souls, and yet it is only the 8-9th most populated regions in Odessa, most of which have no bible believing church or missionary anywhere close by to lead them to the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Please pray for the people of Ukraine, that more men may answer the call to reach this land.

Then said he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38
